Life is like a mountain railway,
With an engineer that’s brave;
We must make the run successful,
From the cradle to the grave;

Watch the curves, the fills and tunnels;
Never falter, never fail;
Keep your hands upon the throttle,
And your eyes upon the rail.

Blessed Savior, Thou wilt guide us,
Till we reach that blissful shore,
Where the angels wait to join us
In that great forevermore.

Blessed Savior, Thou wilt guide us,
Till we reach that blissful shore,
Where the angels wait to join us
In that great forevermore.

~Life's Railway to Heaven~ A favorite of Patsy's since her days at Gore Baptist Church. With superb backing by the Jordanaires, charged with emotion and the best singing Patsy had done to date.

Samuel Lawerence Hensley, (Patsy's Dad) had left his family when Patsy was 15. Later stricken with cancer Sam let it be known he wanted a reconciliation with his family, especially Patsy. "He just bragged on about how proud he was of her. At the hospital Patsy communicated her love the only way she could, singing all the old family songs as well as his favorite "Life's Railway to Heaven". She looked in his eyes for a sign of the words she had never heard, that he loved her. She went to see him several times before he died, on December 11, at the age of sixty seven.
