Loving You (1957)
Elvis plays Deke Rivers, a country boy who joins a band. Loving You" could have been called "The Elvis Presley Story" since it revolves around a young truck driver who reluctantly gets his start in the music business by just singing for the locals at a picnic in a small Texas town. He reluctantly gets started and tours with a country western band through every town in Texas and becomes a rock'n'roll superstar. It's the story of Elvis all over!

Elvis' mother appeared as an extra in this film and after her death, he never watched this film again.

Songs in the movie: "Loving You"; "Got a Lot of Livin' to Do";"Let's Have a Party"; "Teddy Bear"; "Hot Dog"; "Lonesome Cowboy"; "Mean Woman Blues"

Note from Webmaster: "Loving You", I will never forget!
One Saturday morning back in 1957, taking the AB&W bus into town spending the entire day from the first matinee until the very last show,
watching 'Loving You' over and over and back then all for just a quarter! I even missed the last bus out and walked the six miles home.
